For a place where the Model S is still exceptionally rare, what are the chances of seeing two in the same area within two minutes of each other?

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Is the Model S a common car in your area?

I see a few a week, at least.

I see give or take two a day in the Maryland Area.

I wouldn't go as far as saying they're super common, but they're common enough people don't take pictures of them anymore.

Weirdly enough, i've seen more Model S's than I've seen Leaf's, Volt's, and miEV's, combined.

I followed one nearly all the way to my house the other day. First time I saw it. I have seen others though. I think there are about 4 in my area. But I need to go downtown or out to the other side of town to see them.

I actually ran after the grey one. I knew he was going to park in the street he drove into, so I pursued him as casually as I could.

Teslas are quite common in the GTA area, the Model S more so than the Roadster for obvious reasons. From what I've seen, there is a quite even split between base and P85 models with white being the most common colour (black is quite a ways behind and I've only seen 2 multi-coat red ones). I've only seen one Roadster to this date; judging from the plates, it's likely to be the first Roadster registered in Toronto and I first spotted it 4 years ago (and again last year).

In the Beaches (rich hippies) area in Toronto they are pretty common. A condo developer also uses them as promo cars. They are far less common in rural areas it seems.

They are everywhere in Scottsdale, AZ. Now that I've moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago I don't see as many, but they are still fairly common.

They are everywhere in the South Bay Area in California. Then again, it doesn't hurt that their factory and headquarters are there.

I suppose you'd rather be seen in a Model S rather than an miEV though...

I'm actually kind of jaded with Model S's. I'm pretty sure I've seen every color and trim level they offer. I saw the first miEV ever the other day!

on the roads and in communities between Tahoe and San Francisco they are "uncommon", specialty performance BMWs and MB sightings are much more rare than the model S that just swished by me.

The Bay area - read: commutable to San Jose - there's always one in a parking lot.
